Are you fingers are all broken? Most modern Mac keyboards have System Volume keys on kets F10 (mute), F11 (Volume down) & F12 (Volume up). Why not use your fingers?
Plus I use Audio Hijack Pro (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/11067/audio-hijack-pro) to control many system sounds (and record any system sound).

Oh my ...
That's a "DUH" moment - can't believe I forgot about that!
One question related to -- is there any mouse/trackpad movement/app that can "simulate" a tab-press?

Hey guys ! :)
I hope you can help a newbie like me with these questions.. I plan on buying an Imac which will be used for music production with Logic Studio.
The Imac will be connected to a Midi-keyboard and thats it.
Is the 21.5-inch: 2.5GHz base model powerful enough for this? Can it run Logic Studio smoothly without any problems?
I don't really want to upgrade the 21.5 to i7 as it will cost me 700 bucks more, so will it really be worth it to upgrade to i7 ?
Looking forward to your answers.
Thanks
Should be more than enough. But it highly depends on what you do and how you do it.

I bought a Samsung 160 GB 5400 rpm laptop ATA hard drive to replace the stock 4200 rpm 40 GB that came with the first generation 1.25 GHz G4 mini. I disassembled the machine and put in the new disk and the problems began. The mini will no longer boot from the Leopard install DVD. It just doesn't find it. I reset the PRAM, didn't help. Held the option button during startup, doesn't find any bootable drives. So I pop the stock hard drive in and everything starts working just fine. It boots from it or from the Leopard install DVD.
I pretty sure I installed the new disk in properly. Is there anything I can do or is that new Samsung just incompatible?
edit: Disregard the thread. Solved it. I guess the disk has to be plugged in all the way, not even a 0.5 mm gap.

They are made out of really soft foam that collapses easily.
I use a very small version of those rooms which is the shape of a box at work all the time to test the incoming CMU200s to screen them.

I dont see why they wont have FM radio on the 4G.... unless they want it to be unique to the Nano only.... but it would help compete against Zune....

Neighbor has one that can do it - wouldn't know specifically about the one you have, though. Simple suggestion but just look to see if it has any other ports besides USB and power.

A quick check on my MacBook (which I have with me at the moment) and my home Snow Leopard Server show Admin group being Read Only. This seems to be very reasonable since there is no legitimate reason to be creating new files or folders in the root directory. External drives are all Read&Write in their roots.
Thanks for sharing, just wanted to make sure some setting wasn't messed up or something. It's weird that on some Macs, like the guy above's and mine before the update, Admin is read/write though. You'd think there'd be a standard for that directory or something.

I went from Sony Vaio to a Dual 2 160/2.5gigs. Editing video & DVD creation is so easy it is unreal. The PC sucks for video creation, PERIOD!

Your Mac will automatically discover shared devices on your network and make them available to you in the sidebar, regardless of if you're sharing yourself. I assume that's what you mean by "someone else's desktop" being "there."
As for running slow, open up Activity Viewer and see if there is something that's eating up a lot of your computer's resources.

Ok, got permission :)
I'll be there... I'd wear my t-shirt from Providence Place Apple Store's grand opening but then I'd just look like an employee...
Maybe the first of us there should hold up a MacRumors sign so we have a rallying point (and good spot in line?)

Using an HD video camera, I'm trying to record a live presentation of a person standing next to an HDTV. In the viewfinder of the video camera, the speaker's fleshtones are fine, but everything on the TV screen has a blue cast. Any idea what's causing this, and how to fix it?

Yeah thanks guys. I sent the .shsh file to my email so am i doing it correctly? And does iTunes force update for iPad? Because i heard that you cannot update your iPad because of jail breaking and apple will detect it and void your warranty. Or something like that.
