Very nice, I like the red.
So, er, what is the pattern from then? Is it connected with something? MUST... STOP... MPW'S...COMIC... SANS...;)

You may want to try this quick terminal command bundle:
 Open Terminal (under Applications, Utilities)
 Type sudo su (without quotes)
Type your password (you must have admin account)
Type sysctl kern.maxfiles (this will show you the max open files allowed currently)
Type sysctl -w kern.maxfiles=#### replacing #### with a number much larger than your current maxfiles setting. For example, if your maxfiles is currently 12000 change it to 24000 or maybe 30000.

Hi there,
I just got myself a macbook pro as everybody told me how great it is compare to PC....
I'm used to to Foobar on PC as a music library and cant find a player which does what I want on mac.
I've seen Songbird, itunes, vlc and others but here's what I'd like to get on a player :
- be able to delete the song (on the hardrive) strait from the library
- using the rating used in foobar, songbird (an extra tag is added on the file, not like Itunes which save the rating on a external database)
- as light as possible (no need of internet, lyrics, pictures of the album or videos player)
- be able to take care of more than 150Go of musik
- make me smile and make the sun out tomorrow :)
Well, if anyone knows something which could work, you'll make me happy :D
Cheers

Simply put, since you are now on a baseband HIGHER than the one meant for your phone, you can NEVER restore to a stock apple firmware again, that is unless any iOS 5.x release has a baseband over 6.
you would need to restore to the custom firmware.

Would someone be interested to add the following to a fairly prominent place (I'm under the 20 posts with my first post here)? I think it's nice to be directed to other resources out there, if for nothing else than to save work for those working on your guide.
Also, could I suggest a "Reviews" section--maybe not with POV, but with feature comparisons. I am always disappointed when reading feature comparisons in articles that these are not easily updatable with new versions as wiki can allow or to list other features not thought important by the writer (even to do comparison with Windows/Linux products, but primarily across macs).

Think I'll throw down a price.
79.99 is my guess. Why? I have no idea
Haha, good enough for me. As long as I'm not paying $200+ for software updates, I'm happy. :)

Ok.. I updated to Lion DP2 and my mdworker is going crazy like whenever I open Reeder for Mac it just goes crazy (see attached)
Does anyone know why this is happening. I have searched and I know mdworker is related to spotlight and its indexing but it never did this on DP1???
Is this a fresh install? There are reports of spotlight reporting 11 days or some crazy timeframe to index the volume. The mdworker process throttles back down to normal once Reeder is closed?

Right, only us mods and admins can see other people's edits. It wouldn't be very help if anyone could see edit versions. We all have moments where we speak before we think, and there's no need for others to see big the foot was in our mouth.

Yes its the rubber that's pealing, the little bits tend to get on the screen and it feels like there are eraser bits all over the screen. As much as I love this case, I hate the fact that it flakes.

I want the ringer loud for phone calls, but the message alert is too damn loud. anyway to set the volume on text message alerts?
Some of the alert sounds that you can use are a little quieter by nature than others. Maybe go through them and see if you can find one that is a little less obtrusive? Hope this helps! :)

Are you running your MBA in clamshell mode while it's connected to your cinema display? If not, I'd suggest you do that as it allows the Graphics Chip in the MBA to direct all of its power to the monitor instead of splitting the power between the screen on the MBA and the screen on your monitor. This is most likely what's causing the stuttering.
If you do not know how to put the MBA in clamshell mode, refer to the link below.

I hope I was able to help. ;)

Ok, so just over a year ago I bought an pay as you go iPhone from o2 (in the UK). I paid up the cash for them to unlock it so that I could use it on other networks. I received the confirmation and it seemed to work fine. A year later I've been having some problems with my phone backing up in iTunes. I decided to do a restore, that's where things went bad. After the 'restore' I get the message:
'We're sorry, the iPhone you connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service. We recommend you visit your nearest Apple Store.'
I haven't tried to jailbreak my phone, everything on it has been legitimate with the latest firmware etc.
Any ideas? It's out of warranty and I'm also outside the country I bought it in so I guess no Apple store here (I'm in China) will touch it. I'm not sure it is a hardware problem as the signs seem to point towards activation issues, even though my phone was officially unlocked by my carrier.

Do you know the meaning of the word "NDA"?
Well, to be fair to the OP, you can get Xcode 4.01 from the App Store for $4.99 on any Mac without agreeing to an NDA or any of the iOS/OSX developer program rules.
I agree that a patching system would make a huge difference, especially at this early stage of Xcode 4.x's development. I expect we'll see frequent updates as features are finalized and issues are discovered and cleared.

Apple also makes storage solutions.
An important part of a SAN is the software.
That's okay. A category can have more than one parent.

..and that is exactly what I did.
1. Move Ethernet on top in the ordered list
2. Uncheck the "Send all.."
3. Create an /etc/ppp/ip-up file
4. Add a route for the IP range used by Hulu
5. Save the file and make it executable
6. Pop some popcorn and enjoy the shows. :-)
Can't really see situation where traffic to these sites should not go via VPN, so the solution is fine for me.
The challenge now is to identify all IP ranges used by Netflix, but that should be doable.
Thanks for the help.
