"Apple does not support Flash because it is so buggy..." - Steve Jobs 1/30/10
So - are we really surprised? Is Adobe just "lazy" or did they cut their QA department? Maybe Safari does not have a significant enough market share to warrant QA testing?
The world may never know.

It seems a C2D 1.86GHz mobile CPU will do: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/Installing-Mac-mini-Model-A1176-Core-2-Duo-Processor/1178/1
As to RAM: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/mac-mini/
www.everymac.com is also a good spec resource.

Hey all, before I buy even more 'expensive' accessories..I wonder if anyone has had something like the hhi leather skin, or an alternative to the bumper (not interested if it doesn't have buttons or great button access). I'm also thnking of going ag on the iPhone, but won't pay powersupport's outrageous prices (IMO).
I had a cheap eBay case that I actually really like..split two pieces, slightly rubberized, split around the side to put it on...and it did it's job, when my mother's husband chunked my phone about 4.5 ft on to tile..the case split and absorbed the shock...but it cracked.
I'd buy another..but I can't freaking find it again!
So...thinking of another route...and in the meantime, I'll check my posting history here for the last case link!

How much is the drive your looking at and do you have software like Toast for the burner? Also do you have a FW cable?
http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?pid=10423
This is what I have and I don't need Patchburn as it comes with software that sees the iLife apps. just fine.

If you manage the playlists and track, album, artist, etc details in iTunes, they will transfer to each device in the same way.

I dunno, there are a lot of variables to consider on this one....
First off, I have both a Quadra 610 and Powermac 6100 (they use the same form factor case). I've replaced the PRAM battery in both with an equivalent Radio Shack battery and had no trouble....due to the age of the machine, logic board trouble is a good possibility.
Try swapping out RAM, and make sure that the RAM is properly seated.
It might be a good idea to do a clean install, since you mention that booting without extensions didn't solve the problem...that probably rules out an extensions conflict. Install only the extensions you need to reduce the possibilities of a conflict.
You could always try a different PRAM battery...if a clean install doesn't help you may be looking at a logic board problem , though I'm far from an expert.

Hey there.
An easier way to allow other users to use applications is by going into the System Preferences (can be found in the applications folder) click on 'Accounts'. You will see a list of all users on the left hand side. click on your family member's account and go to the 'Limitations' tab. Here you can allow your family member to use selected applications, burn CDs, modify the doc etc.
Hope this helps!

In all reality, you want zero pageouts, however, yours are so low I wouldn't really worry. You must BARELY be using more than the 1.5gb of ram you have. What do you use your PM for? I have a dual 2ghz PM and 1gb of ram and zero pageouts. However, the most hardcore thing I've done is safari, firstclass, iChat, iTunes and iMovie/iDVD open and working at the same time. I think once I get Photoshop on there are start using that I might get a few pageouts. That and if I ever get Final Cut Pro I'm sure I will. But, thats neither here nor there since I have what I have and thats all I'll have for a while.

OK, time to ask again.
Is there any good NAS accepting internal journaled HFS+ SATA disks by now?
It should also have a port for direct attachment for disk repair. No funny RAID stuff that can't be handled by DiskWarrior.
Preferably one that can be bought without disks.
Apple does not qualify.
Thanks

Does the back scratch easily? I got the griffin reveal and within two days the back was a cloudy haze of scratches! is this more scratch resistant? larry greenberg (sp) gave it an awesome review on youtube so i pulled the trigger..
So far no. But I only had it for a full day. I had the reveal as well and that scratched up pretty bad. This one however is fine.

Hi guys,
I got a lot of help last week on the physics behind this video and I thought I would post it in case anyone wanted to check it out!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJwcreczL4A
Cheers!
Wow, that was really cool! I actually hadn't seen a "custom" bokeh effect like this before (or at least had never noticed it anywhere else before, which is surprising.) Nicely done!

The quad core i7 15"/17" MBPs would be significantly faster than the dual core i5/i7 13" MBPs for transcoding video DVDs. But a 13" MBP would be fast enough (one 2h film per hour), unless you don't have time to wait.

But, however you dress it up, the level of trolling/shouting makes the MR forum very difficult to read sometimes. The ban list helps, but hiding the replies would clean things up even more.
Report (http://forums.macrumors.com/images/buttons/report.gif) posts that are against the Forum Rules (http://guides.macrumors.com/Help:Forum_Rules). That is the best way to clean things up.
You can still ignore people you don't like in your head, that's what I do all the time. We are all entitled to have our own opinion, so if you don't like someone's opinion, just ignore it. The worst thing to do is to reply to "troll" posts since that is just fuel for the fire.
