The letter body text?? That's interesting indeed.
Sadly not - it was just the letterhead (well letterbottom) and it also had the older apple logo on it (A Blue one with the older texture), so it looks like those are all being used internally still

Consider that nobody knows if the Server features will be free or if they need to be purchased. At this point, all we know is that Server has been consolidated into Lion.
So, it's quite possible that Apple could sell activation keys or add-ons that enable portions of what used to be the Server product. If true, then Apple could sell the device with the add-ons included.

Well done! How did it turn out for you?
Thanks, it turned out pretty well! There were lots of laughs. I think seeing a green Frankenstein/Vampire Steve on the dance-floor was pretty surreal for most people.
Though getting up and down stairs in a giant iPhone was a nightmare!

It's fine to run on AC power when you need to. Just don't do it all the time, as your battery needs to be used periodically to stay healthy. Try to run on battery for a few hours every few days. This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:

It may be a member site and not a site for consumers. I don't know, it is sparse but there is a link for logging in, so that leads me to believe its for franchisees or something.

Not #4, The last time I did that my G5 Electrocuted me, and it wouldn't boot for a week!
I ned to get typing and do a few more classic pages! The plan is interesting, I just don't know how to work with the software well enough to help implement it!
I know even less about the software, but my Mac 512K requires a good bath every now and again.

Seems like it's just invisible updates (ie. behind the scenes bugfixes). I don't see any new features.
So the nasty ical is still there? I hope that goes away; it's horrible looking on the desktop. With limited real estate on the screen, all that extra stuff just takes up space...
EDIT: Just looked at the screenshot from Dev. Prev. 2. It doesn't take up much space, actually, but it still seems out of place on an app that might share a screen with other apps. Part of the beauty of OS X is that many of the apps look alike, and there's not a lot of mixed up UI elements.

Does the back scratch easily? I got the griffin reveal and within two days the back was a cloudy haze of scratches! is this more scratch resistant? larry greenberg (sp) gave it an awesome review on youtube so i pulled the trigger..
So far no. But I only had it for a full day. I had the reveal as well and that scratched up pretty bad. This one however is fine.

I would not recommend removing apps like Safari (let alone their system files) from the OS. Safari is an application that is bundled with Mac operating system and its system files may include a number of important services. It really doesn't take up that many resources anyway. Besides, I expect the OS will try to reinstall it via update anyway.

I was thinking about getting the iPad 2 next week. It will have 4.3 installed on it. Now when updates come out and I update my iPad to a new version, when I connect my iPhone to sync will it automatically install new software to my iPhone, breaking my jailbreak. Whenever I sync now I tell my computer mot to install any updates, but with an iPad that I want updated, will it mess with my phone, or do they keep the updates separate? Thanks for the help.

IF you ever think about parting the system and games out, I might be interested in the snow boarding game depending on the price.
PM me if you ever consider it.
Thanks!

I have heard a few people recommend this one. (http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/php/how-to-create-a-photo-gallery-using-the-flickr-api/)
Also, have you tried resizing the images...? Is it just the fact you have so many?
I'll check that out, thanks.
I think the problem is both the size and qty, but I like to leave them decent size for anyone wanting to download them.

irc.krono.net #macrumors is the 'official' IRC channel and is open all year round. During the keynote itself it will contain the live feed and will be moderated so you won't be able to speak, while discussion takes place in #macrumorschat.
irc.macrumorslive.com is a temporary server and is only used for the keynotes. Again, #macrumors is where the feed is while #macrumorschat is for discussion.
Krono should be working again, but irc.macrumorslive.com will have a lot more servers on it so is more likely to cope.

1. Can I use my apple wireless keyboard and magic mouse during installation of windows 7, or do I have to have a usb mouse?
no.
they won't work until you installed the boot cam drivers.
2. After windows is installed, does the bluetooth keyboard work to hold option at startup and choose which partition to boot from.
it doesn't work for me (on the Mac side)
3. If the answer to 2 is "no" or "sometimes", how could i go about choosing to boot into os x once im in windows. I know in os x I can go system preferences-startup disk. Is there a similar functionality in windows?
yes.
it's in control panels.
no.

You like Linux or just Penguins?
Both... Some people tattoo dolphins and tigers and stuff. I wanted a penguin. Im not an experienced linux-user, but I found this on some linux-sites.
Guess I took it mostly for being a penguin fan ;-)

- Go to the Applications folder and select iTunes
- Right click > Show Package Contents
- Open 'Contents'
- Open 'Resources'
- Find iTunes helper
- Open System Preferences and go to Accounts > select your account > Login Items
- Drag iTunes Helper from Finder to this list
Done.
Heheh, I made the same mistake as you. Trying to decipher to OP's first post, I didn't realize he mentioned that he deleted iTunesHelper from the iTunes app as well, hence my removed post. :P

Ah yes... I remember watching "Plan 9 from Outer Space" on that curvy "screen". They projected it against the side of that building one night. By the time I moved away from Saint Louis, they ripped all the interesting stuff out of there, I heard. Got rid of the star projector and everything.
Free museums rock, and for some reason I feel much better about dropping a $10 in the donation box than paying the mandatory $4 that other museums charge.
