Apple has really missed the boat with Sketch/Search feature. Would be infinitely useful inside Google Maps.
Guess we need an app for it.
I'm not sure what you mean here. Is it Apple or Google that's missed the boat? You're placing blame on the iPhone's manufacturer/OS for what an included 3rd party app is lacking, in your opinion?
Is this not another third party developer thats come to your rescue, on the same device/OS? What boat has Apple missed?

Anyone know how long it takes for Switcheasy to ship their cases? I ordered the Colors case from them last week and other than an email from Paypal confirming payment, I haven't gotten any contact from Switcheasy regarding the status of my order. There doesn't appear to be anything on their site to check order status either.

Looking to sell my 8GB iPhone. It's in pretty good shape. The chrome bezel is scratched up from using one of those skins initially. There is also a very small subtl dent in the back. I have no idea how it got there as I have never dropped it. Other then that it is mint. Email is very important to my job and the iPhone is just not cutting it so I am back to a Blackberry.
I am asking $225 firm. This includes shipping. Payment via Paypal and I will only ship to an address in the continental US.
This unit works perfectly. I will give 5 days for you to return it for any reason in the same condition it left me hands. This way you can check out and make sure you're happy with it physically and functionally. If you decide within that 5 days to return it the responsibility of return shipping costs is on you.
If you're interested, PM me.

If it came with the iPod and you tell them the real date of purchase they won't replace it. Yes it is unethical to lie about things like this, but saying it "came with my sister's iPod around the 22nd" usually works.

Hi all
I was notified that there was a new version of iTunes available, but was wondering if it was safe to update in use with a jailbroken iPod?
Thanks!

The Speck Candyshell is a nice case, its silicon on the inside but plastic on the outside so you don't really feel it and it has a pretty slim profile. I think it's about $20 from amazon
Hope this helps!

@AlphaDogg - OF COURSE they could see the logic board corrosion when they went to replace the inverter board and the display. The logic board is the MAIN component in the machine and manages the display, among other things. They have to detach the display cables from the logic board before they start replacing any other components.
But aside from that, I have heard many stories about water spills being the best sort of spill you can have with your Mac. Sometimes it my dry out if you quickly discover it and leave the machine out to dry and other times it might not.
hminks, try turning on the machine after a day in the cupboard (definitely don't want to cook that thing out in direct sunlight). If the machine still isn't working, then your logic board may be kaput, as well as some other components. But that doesn't necessarily mean that your hard drive is gone so all your documents may be recoverable.

Hello,
I'm beginning to learn about PHP Scripts. I saw the term "callback" on Google on a couple of websites, but there weren't any good info on what it is.
I think I should clarify on link callbacks
If I am understanding correct, callbacks are just links that link back to the original developer? Can they be automatic or does the user have to request it (i.e. pushing a link button).
Can the callback be encrypted or are they only a few codes that will allow callbacks?
Thanks!

If you need help, there is a Help menu in nearly all OS X applications and all Apple ones. Best way if you need help in a pinch.
It is a big difference from Windoze... a help system that actually works!

Hello all!!
Whilst waiting for the iMac refresh I have been wondering what parts I should upgrade when buying...
I plan on playing CCS / DoDs possibly WoW, also using Ps, Ai & Indesign. So I am wondering should I upgrade both the processor and RAM or just the processor or just the RAM? I plan on getting a 21.5" unless they bring back the 24".
Also I will be paying by finance as the money I had saved for it had to cover an emergency, is there anything I should know before paying by finance?
Thanks

I would get a protector for the back seeing as its glass and it can scratch easily. The front is pretty much your preference, I had a case for the first 6 months and just recently decided to use it without a case. It should be fine as long as you don't drop it. I have both sides of the phone protected with a clear protector i got from Amazon. If I didn't have a protector for the back of the phone, I would still have the phone in a case.

Hi, have got a problem with Outlook 2011.I had 3 rules set up, simply so that emails for memebrs of my family went into their own folders.
Now the rule names still appear in the list, but when I click on apply nothing happens and when I go to the rules dialogue box no rules are visible and I cant add any new ones.
Any help appreciated - only had an iMAc 2 months, so very new to Macs
thanks

I usually end up checking out those kinds of books at the library anyways.
Thanks for the reminder that it is April 1st. I'll make sure to print out a fake eviction notice for my wife. ;)

So I'm selling my old iBook and I want to format the hard drive so that the old data cannot be recovered. The simplest solution is to boot from the original OS X CD and Erase Disk. But I'm guessing that this process doesn't actually write over all the old data. So should I use a different app to write zeros or patterns to the disk first? I've read only a little about this, but I'm definitely a beginner on this topic. Has anyone done this, and if so, what's a good app? Is data easily recovered from an erased hard disk?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
