It's actually more useful news NOW, when more groups have developed.
I bookmarked it--making it the most useful news story on here in weeks :) I hope there weren't too many people inconvenienced by clicking on it when they already knew about it. That's always a difficult situation to get through.

Probably just quieter than your old drive. Nothing to worry about.

Yep, sure do, plus I could throw in a mini-box (looks like the box except shorter since it only held the phone) that Apple sent me my repaired unit in once.

And I was wondering if anyone else has one going and what sort of results they're getting.
I already have two other machines going (although right now, just one since I'm rendering on the other) and I'm curious to see how the dual 1.25 GHz G4 compares to my wife's new iMac...

There's a very interesting write-up about the history of the Apple key here (http://www.roughlydrafted.com/2007/08/11/how-apple-keyboards-lost-a-logo-and-windows-pcs-gained-one/) which explains pretty much everything :)

Have you read the approval guidelines (https://developer.apple.com/appstore/mac/resources/approval/guidelines.html)? Specifically 2.15

I don't know why this is doing it other that there seem to be some conflicts with some apps or with iOS.
I would do a restore to new and add my stuff back one by one.
Hope this helps.

Do i have to sign up somewhere?
Go into the F@H client preferences, and under the identity tab type your nickname and 3446 as the team number. After you complete the first WU you'll start showing up on the team stats :)

In this day and age there MUST be a way to play World of Warcraft on a PowerPC machine. People these days seem to have a trick or way to force install things that were never meant to be.
So come on, someone out there... all I want to do is play my old school WoW (original game w/no expansions) on my old school G5. It worked before the stupid patch 4.0.1 came along so there MUST be a way to make it work.
Anybody?! Please?!
They no longer distribute the PowerPC binaries.
No 4.0.1 binaries means there is absolutely no way you could ever launch 4.0.1 on a PowerPC, even with all the hacking in the world.

I use an FTP app (FTP on the go) to work on my website so I can do basic editing of the files only. If you only need the MacBook Pro for the portability then I would say get both. But if it is a desktop replacement for primary website development then it might be better to get the best laptop that you can. For the most portable solution maybe a MacBook Air and iPad combo might work well.
Also, I could not find any web design apps but cPanel seems to work fine on my iPad.

Oh, ha! Yeah, in the first post when I said I checked that, I meant that I looked at it and verified that it was unchecked!

I just installed a new 1tb hard drive in my macbook pro 2010 and some new RAM (8gb).
And I created a bootcamp partition and installed Windows 7 64Bit.
The problem is, it only had 2gbof RAM usable. Please help?

No knowledge?
Knowledge 1: Steve didn't like fans. Knowledge 2: Steve was generally wrong on that point.
But you've been given some good advice... give it a try. You've only got the Mac Classic to lose!

im on a mac. Im Exporting to normal quicktime export on Final Cut Express. the footage doesnt match the Canvas as its playing different parts of the clip than whats on the timeline. I watch the time line back and all of the clips are how i want them . when exported some parts show different clips rather than what i have selected.
Working with Dv Pal 720 x 576 at 29.97 frames per second. i think it maybe that was exporting at 24 fps. going to try again at 29.97 now

only apple online refurbs have a real 1 year warranty that can be extended to 3 years with apple care. you can search for refurbs from other sellers but they have warranties for no more then 90 days with no apple care option.

Hi,
I have moved all the iLife apps into a separate iLife folder within the Applications folder. This apparently caused problems with the latest iPhoto update (9.1.2). iPhoto said there's a new update, but Software Update said there isn't. Even after I downloaded the update manually from the Apple website it refused to install it, saying that iPhoto 9.1 is required to install the update. The update did only install after I moved the iPhoto back to the Application folder (out of the sub folder).
Is this a general problem? Does moving apps cause the System Update to fail? I have moved many apps, including iLife and other apps that came with Snow Leopard into other sub-folders. Do they all need to stay in the main Applications folder? If so, then I think the Applications folder becomes overcrowded quite quickly.
Are there other negative side effects of moving apps?

You can get an extra amount by using a .edu account for it. I think it gives you 500mb per invitation or whatever.
