I will be selling my 16GB iPhone in two weeks when the new iPhone comes out. My current iPhone is in perfect shape; an invisible shield was put on as soon as I bought it. The iPhone will come with all the original documentation and packaging, including the original box and receipt.
EDIT: Something I forgot to mention is that I just bought this iPhone less than six months ago. I bought the iPhone in March of 2008.
The highest offer I have received so far is $500.
PM me if you are interested. Thanks for looking.

OK, question . . .
I'm looking to get a 27" iMac. The "older" models are on sale and come equipped with a video card with twice as much ram. So I'm wondering, which of these will "appear" to be faster?
2.8GHz Core i5 Quad-Core
4GB (2x2GB) RAM
1TB 7200rpm Hard Drive
ATI Radeon HD 5750 1GB Graphics
2.7GHz Intel Core i5 Quad-Core
4GB (2x2GB) RAM
1TB 7200rpm Hard Drive
AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512MB GPU
I do mostly Photoshop work, compositing very LARGE files files. Am I going to notice any difference in performance between these two?
Thanks in advance.

IIRC, the difference in performance between the 2.8GHz and the 3.2GHz CPUs only gave around 10% difference in performance. With the cost and hassle of attempting an upgrade would not be worth it.
You would be much better served by upgrading your memory, GPU or replacing your system drive with an SSD.
Which upgrades are needed (if any) depends on your circumstances and the current configuration of your system. Adding an SSD would likely give you the most bang for the buck over any CPU upgrade in your system.

I have an AFP mounted directory under /Volumes.
I mount the directory as a particular user.
I want to now give other users access to that directory but I get a permission denied.
The default permission is set to only let me read/write/execute on the directory, and even doing a chmod, I am unable to allow others access to it.
Is there perhaps a better way to mount a directory and every user access it?

...should I just wait untill apple makes an announcement and deal with the screen, or should I return it and get my money back before it is too late?
If you believe the problem will likely remain somewhat of a thorn in your side, act while your limited window of opportunity still exists. Acknowledgement of an issue on this point from Apple - well, how long can you hold your breath?

I'd recommend Seagate, but why not the 120 GB Momentus 5400.2 (http://www.seagate.com/cda/products/discsales/marketing/detail/0,1081,681,00.html) which should only be marginally more expencive then the 100 GB...? ;)

I remember reading an interview with the developer somewhere, maybe GameSpot, where they implied that a wireless GH 360 controller was coming in the near future.
It's the only reason I'm holding off on buying the game and a 2nd guitar.
Well, that and the news about Rock Band.:)

Hi, can anyone help recommend an HD camcorder for me? It can be a regular camcorder or pocket camcorder, whichever you recommend based on the following...
Budget: Cheaper is better, but not an issue.
Purpose: Will be recording amateur basketball games for film study and also doing unrelated news stories and interviews.
Features: Must be able to record at least an hour without recharging. Must also be able to easily upload to laptop for editing! I was considering the Flip Ultra HD but I read something about how it's impossible to upload to your computer unless you have a 3.0GHZ processor or better?
Also, some of the will be broadcast on TV so the audio must be good enough for playback on TV...
Thank you so much.

Hi, for anyone attempting to do this in the future, I thought I would share how to do it.....
first off, you need to declare a variable, in my case, lastClickedRow, and have 2 functions, in my case, storeLastRow and setRowAfterUpdate.
var lastClickedRow=0;
function storeLastRow(){

I dropped in the 750GB Momentus drive from OWC into my 2011 15". Works great so far, pretty quiet, ample space, and fast enough to access Logic's intruments and samples without any I/O issues.
Going back to noise for a second. I never booted the MBP with its standard 5400 drive so I cannot say its louder or runs hotter than the standard build.
The OWC kit comes with an external enclosure for the original drive plus all the tools you need to do the replacement.

I'm a huge fan of this site: www.starvinwithlouis.com
First off I should say that I HATE those shows where people eat worms or bugs or whatever for competition's sake. Disgusting.
That said, this show is fantastic because it's about the reality of cooking, and especially the reality of cooking on the cheap. Just what can you do with ramen besides boil and eat it? Louis shows you. What makes it fantastic is that it's in a real kitchen, with real guys, sharing a stove even! The most important part is that it's produced like a real cooking show, ala fast forwarding through the grocery store and precision scene cutting as the ingredients are pulled from the fridge and pantry. The entire production leads up to the taste test by the roomates (obviously not a paid audience, but a sceptical and cynical friend), which culminates into the fantastic appraisal: "this isn't half ****ing bad!"
The production quality leaves you to believe that this is going to end like every other cooking show, with a stupified audience at the shear delight of something so unexpectedly delicious. What you get is reality: one bite, the audience nearly barfs, and then admits that it is, in fact, better than plain ramen.
This is the first reality show I have ever seen or heard of which actually shows reality.
The new episode is up and its fantastic: http://starvinwithlouis.com/starvinepisodes.html

that's the Smooth tool not the Brush tool. If that's what you really get when you click the Brush tool try resetting Illustrator's Preferences:
Move or rename the Adobe Illustrator Preferences file: Users/[user]/Library/
Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS[X] Settings
Then restart Illustrator.
That worked once, but not again. It might be something to do with my Wacom Bamboo, could that be messing it up? it's just extremely frustrating! Also, it does it with the blob brush tool and the pencil tool.
Thanks!

No. The newer pumps were used May-August.
Ok, looking at my Quad.. it seems I do have the newer pump :) It is a panasonic.. can barely make out the name, but the name starts with a P.. Sorry, I made a mistake.. the Quad I have according to the person who owned it told me he got it in June of 2006.

Here is my setup,
Im on a macbook air REV.b
I have installed windows xp on parallels 6.
I installed it onto my bootcamp partition with the understanding that
with a bit of tweaking and some driver installs, i could boot that
install of windows as a dual booted system.
I have done the windows updates, and i also plugged in my snowleopard disc
to install drivers from the drivers folder and I went through and installed every
thing i could from the drivers..
i rebooted and i get the blinking underscore in the top left corner.
Im not sure of the best way to do this, but i could use some help, either point me to another thread that has adressed this, or a website with a foolproof guide... anything would help.. my girlfiend is feeling alienated with me spending every waking hour trying guide after guide and trick after trick to get this working...
i do not have my xp disc, i only have the image file.
i guess it would be possible to use a program like toast or something to burn that image to a disc and have it be bootable and just install straight to bootcamp?
first priority is to install xp on bootcamp without using a windows disc.

Sorry to disappoint you, but "wake with trackpad" will not be possible in Lion anymore (at least, it's not meant to be). Why? Simply because the new iTunes screen saver's functions require trackpad interaction.
So no, it's not a bug.
