that rely isn't a useful guide at all. there are a lot more steps before and after. Not all of the info is even correct.

If you're downloading several items but want one first (and it's not the active download) you can manually pause all downloads and force resume the one you want. Do this from the XMB.

Make sure Maps has all the permissions, beyond that I will have to think about it. I had a similar issue quite a while ago but I do not know what triggered it.
By hard reset do you mean taking it back to factory default settings?

ok so i am making a button for my robotics team. i have the initial stuff set up (but i suck at photoshop) so things are a bit weird right now and well literally the design sucks.
im not sure if this is against forum rules, but can someone "do" it for me.
when i say "do" i am lightly using it. i will provide the ideas and the pictures. all the person has to do is "Photoshop" it out and if he/she wishes add some of their own magic to making it look awesome.
i would say Monday would be a good time to have it done .. but if anyone wants to try their skills at photoshop or something.
you may not believe me, but i will say that the person did it for me (i wont take the full credit for it).. i know thats a bit hard to believe, but trust me please.

https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Qx4BSvXYInvob1QKgVmR3w?feat=directlink
these are two that i did ( the 2nd one is after playing iwth the settings, the first one is the original) but it would be doing something like that, making it more techie and adding a cool phrase or so..
the more people who want to try it out the better it can be [ if it really is amazing and cool, i can have them make all sorts of buttons ]
once again im unaware if this is against forum rules, so please forgive me.

Depending on the website, this app would probably be denied.
Look at a site like Facebook. Because they are huge and practically everybody has an account there, they allowed that app through. At the same time, I created an app for users of my company's website. Because we are small time (relative to something like FB), my company's app was denied by Apple, due to not enough appeal to a wide enough user base. Part of this was also due to the fact that the app was practically useless without a user having an account on our website.

In the last few days I've seen it at other forums, and now it's here. The Bing banner ad that takes focus and makes the page jump to the bottom at the end of it loading.
ANNOYING!!! - please make it stop. I can't believe MS is getting away with this.

Several of the long-standing users here at MacRumors have been upgraded to Sysop status on the guide pages. Please don't be offended if you weren't upgraded. We simply did a casual glance through the registered names and upgraded accounts from people who have been around for while and are active participants on the forums.
Sysop status on the Guide pages provide you a few extra capabilities to moderate the Guide pages if necessary...
Block users. This should only be used if someone is abusing the guide pages by spamming, posting offensive materials, vandalism etc...
Protect and unprotect pages. This is not something that will likely be an issue for this forum since we don't allow unregistered edits. But protecting a page will prevent anyone but a sysop (or higher) from editing a page.

I think that's pathetic.
Should have let this thread die on 11/21.
Agreed. I expected better than fart jokes, but I guess Microsoft is involved so, should've known anything involving that would be taken down a few notches...

I agree on the $50 figure. The 170 is a fantastic machine, but like a lot of other Macs, aren't nearly as valuable as people seem to think they are. Unless you have a prototype, it usually takes a mint machine with original packaging to really get the price to eye opening levels.

FA: 4GB iPhone, unlocked, free case & screen protector
I bought this refurbished iPhone from AT&T in March. I had wanted a 2nd iPhone to jailbreak and unlock to see what all the fuss was about, but I still end up using my locked, un-jailbroken 8GB more often anyway (and I want the funds for the 3G iPhone and/or to help purchase a MacBook Air). So, the 4GB is up for auction with worldwide shipping to PayPal confirmed addresses only.
It is in excellent condition and I am including a free Incase Protective cover that has hardly been used, and an anti-glare screen protector (already installed on the iPhone). All accessories are included (OEM headphones, dock, USB cable, and AC adapter) and are unused and still factory-wrapped. It has been unlocked and jailbroken using ZiPhone. All content has been wiped, and no SIM card is provided.
eBay auction is here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290233692614), pics are attached. Full-resolution pics available upon request. 100% positive feedback on eBay, member since 2000.

If you specify the addresses/networks you want to route - that can work. Of course, all applications will go through VPN for those IP's.
You can't specify applications which you want to go through VPN.

Yep, I'm familiar with how the search system works. The problem is that it is still limited in the suggestions it gives you. Someone sent me a copy of the master list's url and I was able to find the member.
The problem in this case was the member I was looking for has a / in their username and I didn't know that. Despite putting the first part of their user name in the search engine the provided results never included him/her. That's what I meant by the search capabilities appear limited.
Thanks for your help though GGJ, I do appreciate it.
