Hey guys!
Anyone know if it is possible to make use of rollover images while using Lightbox2?
The problem is I am unable to mix in the CSS code for an image while fitting in the Lightbox2 code in the same image. here is what My lightbox2 code is:
<a href="images/Minah_sBusinesscard.pdf-1.jpg" rel="lightbox" title="Minah's Sweets Business Card"><img src="images/minahbw.png"></a>
The HTML code I need to put a roll over image is:
<a href="#" class="rollover" title="Webvamp"><span class="displace">Webvamp</span></a>
CSS style sheet I am using *found online* is:
a.rollover {
display: block;
width: 800px;
height: 100px;
text-decoration: none;
background: url("webvamp.jpg");
}
a.rollover:hover {
background-position: -150px 0;
}
.displace {
position: absolute;
left: -5000px;
}
Anyone know how I can make this work?
If not is there a better solution to get the lightbox effect but still get roll over images? I wanted to be able to have an icon, show a preview when you bring your mouse over, and then have it open up to the lightbox view.
Thank you guys for any help you can provide!

Hi guys,
updated to 10.7 today. first thing i noticed.. while click and dragging a window around, it was lagging compared to SL.
Weird thing to notice first i know.. but it gives me the false impression that my Mac Pro is lagging and can't process the window. Is anyone else noticing this?
Will this get fixed?
Thanks a lot :)
I don't have any lag when I drag any windows. Report as a bug and *fingers crossed* it will get fixed next release if Apple gets enough reports to investigate it.

I like that, wonder if there are any other hidden things like that.
There are. The TextEdit icon is also a tribute to jobs (blow it up.) There are a bunch listed here (http://www.eeggs.com/tree/1141.html), but most are standard Unix easter eggs. There were a bunch from classic Mac OS as well.

the tabs in safari are much nicer because they don't seem to have a feasible limit unlike camio which stops at sometime and begins to open new windows....

I'm a huge fan of this site: www.starvinwithlouis.com
First off I should say that I HATE those shows where people eat worms or bugs or whatever for competition's sake. Disgusting.
That said, this show is fantastic because it's about the reality of cooking, and especially the reality of cooking on the cheap. Just what can you do with ramen besides boil and eat it? Louis shows you. What makes it fantastic is that it's in a real kitchen, with real guys, sharing a stove even! The most important part is that it's produced like a real cooking show, ala fast forwarding through the grocery store and precision scene cutting as the ingredients are pulled from the fridge and pantry. The entire production leads up to the taste test by the roomates (obviously not a paid audience, but a sceptical and cynical friend), which culminates into the fantastic appraisal: "this isn't half ****ing bad!"
The production quality leaves you to believe that this is going to end like every other cooking show, with a stupified audience at the shear delight of something so unexpectedly delicious. What you get is reality: one bite, the audience nearly barfs, and then admits that it is, in fact, better than plain ramen.
This is the first reality show I have ever seen or heard of which actually shows reality.
The new episode is up and its fantastic: http://starvinwithlouis.com/starvinepisodes.html

A friend of mine is buying a Les Paul Standard and he's going to USA in May.
He need the guitar to be shipped to the hotel where he is staying.
He wants a new guitar, not second hand.
In Norway where we live a Les Paul Standard costs about $4000, and i guess you can get it for the half in USA.
I myself have bought several guitars in USA and got them shipped to the hotel where I was staying, but that's almost ten years ago.
(Bought a almost new Nighthawk Standard 3 pickup for $900 back in '96, and a used Strat Plus Deluxe for $800 in '01, those costed over twice as much used here)
Any tips about where to order, it has to be a reputable dealer.
Thanks in advance!

Well I'm not 100 % sure it "blew up". I looked inside the power supply through the small circle holes and on both the supplies it looked as if it got hot enough that grey plastic melted and got all over the internal parts.
Thanks for your replies guys.

on apple.com, with this new .8 update, one of the key points is
- improved file sharing and directory services for mixed Mac and PC networks
Welll i use PC & Mac at home. and after taking this update on the mac, i tried to transfer a 100meg file today, and it wasn't moving fast at all!
Now im using a wireless network with the mac, but 40min to move 100megs? Its normaly alot faster then that, and this has happened after this update.
I have searched a couple post on the site regarding .8 update, however did not see anything regarding my problem.
Can anyone shed some light?
thanks

Has anyone gotten Google Analytics (http://www.google.com/analytics/) to work? For some reason. I do a tracking status check, but I get an error telling me that I haven't put the javascript on the pages within to domain, yet they are on all four of my domains on every page.
Also... kind of a bummer, but the viewing the stats does not work in Safari, only IE or Moz-based browsers.

I meet one person after another who thinks iTunes Store tracks are sourced from CDs. But to me this doesn't make any sense because for the amount of tracks available on the store, the number that become newly available regularly... it would take an army.
I was always under the impression that Apple sourced the tracks digitally from the labels, and encoded to AAC from sources that were almost certainly higher up the ladder than CD quality (ie; studio master)
Does anybody know for sure what the lineage of Store songs is?
Thanks.
Im pretty sure Apple gets sent the studio master audio (uncompressed raw audio) and then they compress it to the required format - thats why iTunes Plus had so many tracks available at launch, Apple probably handles the encoding.

Does the M R stand for MacRumors? Not sure what the E 6 means? The picture looks like the Quicktime icon over a AirPort Base Station.Since my MRE6 avatar is to celebrate the million post milestone, I made it a contest entry: thread
You seem to be a kidder with Mudbug. He should feel privileged that you took the time and effort to do a word play on him.Yes of course I'm teasing Mudbug. I only tease people I like. I expect Mudbug to make fun of me too.
Obviously, Mudbug can't have posted 1,000,000 spams. He only has 2,000 or so posts! ;)

I just posted a new MacRumors thread asking if I should upgrade Bootcamp to Windows 7 (from XP) for gaming on my Macbook Pro.
The answer (see link) basically damed Mac's in general as useless and both PC hardware and Windows 7 to be fantastic. I can believe this opinion exists, but why would someone who hates Macs be on a Mac forum? He also says he has a PC laptop for gaming, so why is he posting in the gaming forum for Macs? It Doesn't add up. The user joined in Feb 2011 i.e now
Do Microsoft or PC makers post on forums to steer people in their direction?

You can find them, but its hard and they are expensive. Apart from that it is not a good idea to open an new iMac and void the warranty by messing around with the internals.
Good points, thought it might of been a long shot! Just wish I could have an awesome 2GB graphics in a base 999 iMac!

Is it really that big of a performance boost between the x1900xt and the 5770?
Should be like day and night. 1900XT is ancient and even back then, it wasn't that fast.

Both are under 350.00, much less than apple cinema display.
Samsung LED from newegg
viewsonic LCD from amazon
Will be using with 13" i7 macbook pro.
Will be using mostly photoshop, nothing crazy.
please if you have one of these monitors let me know.

Yeah your right Timdaddy, Apple will probably keep the design of the current iMac for awhile, kinda like they are keeping OS X going....the original iMac didnt change appearance much (other than colors) and lastest for a few years.
