Hello!
I bought a MacBook Pro on the 26th of February, and iWork along with it. So today when I was filling out the rebate form for iWork, I noticed that it asks for the UPC codes on the computer and the iWork, along with the receipt.
Well, that had me worried. If I sent in my receipt, and both of the UPC codes... I would have no way of proving that I bought this product, if any problems ever occur! Is this how it is supposed to be or am I missing something here?
Thanks!
Copy your receipt, send it, and keep the original. :)

Is that English, what are you trying to ask?
I was curious about this as well. He is asking what do those of you in line do when you have to go to the bathroom? Especially those in line by themselves?
Thank you. I chose the style of writing to fit the subject character limit. I guess there are a lot of miserable people on this forum to find fault with it. To those that do, may I suggest u get a life i.e. one that revolves around being happy and not taking your misery out on others :)

It could be an issue with the HDD holding your home folder. Did you try re installing OSX to a different drive?

It might be this
.content a:hover {
color: #422d1c;
border-bottom: 1px solid #ff8598;
background: #ff8598;
}
Change the border bottom value.
Mind you the above DIV issue is more likely to be the problem.

Why do you have to be registered to download the program? I think it's kind of annoying. Is there any particular reason that you did this?
It's still beta software, and I'd like to know who has downloaded it so I can email them if I find a dangerous bug.
Registration is free, and so is the application at this stage, so I don't think it's too much to ask.
Just in case you were wondering, I haven't found any dangerous bug's and I haven't emailed anyone, yet.

I originally had animated gifs but they don't work when exported from inDesign into a swf file. So I recreated the gifs in flash then placed that swf inside the inDesign presentation and when I export the inDesign presentation to upload it to moodle the swf inside the exported presentation won't play on page load.
Hope that was more clear. I guess it's kind of confusing trying to explain it haha.

I'm the proud owner of a new imac i7, and i have windows 7 that I intend to install on bootcamp. I have a couple questions, which I know have been discussed a thousand times in the forums, but the threads are old and I can't seem to find a sure answer for them.
1. Can I use my apple wireless keyboard and magic mouse during installation of windows 7, or do I have to have a usb mouse?
2. After windows is installed, does the bluetooth keyboard work to hold option at startup and choose which partition to boot from.
3. If the answer to 2 is "no" or "sometimes", how could i go about choosing to boot into os x once im in windows. I know in os x I can go system preferences-startup disk. Is there a similar functionality in windows?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for beating a dead horse, or whatever the hell that saying is ;)

I'm working with a client who has a domain and hosting located on GoDaddy. I prefer using CPanel, but I don't think GoDaddy offers it, so I'm hoping that someone here could help me out on how I could point the domain to the hosting account. The domain and the hosting were purchased at separate times, so I'm not sure how to set them up so they'd work together. On the main account page under hosting it shows a Launch button under the Control Center. That page takes me to a configuration menu where it allows me to set up an FTP account for the domain. I'm just not sure if once I go through with that if everything will work correctly. It's not my account, so I'd rather not start poking around and pressing whatever buttons and then screw things up for them.

I just did some limited file movement to confirm it would still recognize the drive without formatting it for the enclosure. I think it is safe to say that it would run slow as molasses over USB versus internal.
I'm curious to see how a TB external with non-ssd drives connected to a MBP run versus internal drives on a MP...got my fingers crossed and hope the drives are the limiting factor.

Many thanks David - I looked at that device and it's probably going to work for me. As well, I have one of the TEAC drives in my possession already. So, I'm going to go visit a friend with a Zenith Z-150 and see if his will work, and if not I'll purchase that device. Again, many thanks....

Too bad about the box and packing. That about doubles the value since most people recycled/trashed all of that long ago.

Haha, good enough for me. As long as I'm not paying $200+ for software updates, I'm happy. :)

I have been folding since 2000, however I have yet to run F@H for long on my iMac. Reason being, CPU temps reach 85C. Is this safe for my Mac? I feel that at these temperatures I will need to take out an extended Apple Care warranty. :confused:
I highly doubt that folding or any processor intensive task will void your warranty, apple tests these machines before they release them and if using 100% of the CPU voids you warranty or damages the machine then I dont think apple would be selling them. Remember apple hardware isint stupid, if it gets too hot it will speed up the fans, if it gets hotter it will turn off also I would think they would put in a disclaimer by the Highest Performance setting. If you are that worried about it then you should set your processor to 'Reduced'

Look at LightWorks, I personally have not used it that much but many have said it is amazing AND FREE! (Like pro-level amzaing) Unless you want to go with the great but pricey alts like AVID Studio and Premiere/Encore/AE
PS: Don't use WMM, in my experience it has been awful
Depending on how far she wants to take it, it may be cheaper/less time consuming to find a cheap older Mac Tower and dump iMovie '05/'06 on it, and let her go with that... (G4/500+ CRT+Keyb+Mouse = about $50 and will run iMovie '05 under 10.3 just fine - much easier than trying to remote tech support a Windows App.)

For the past few weeks I've had a refurb 13in/1.86Mhz/128gb/4gb Macbook Air. It is great. (I probably should blame/praise Scottsdale for finally tipping me over into the purchase! :) ) I won't go into all the good things about it because more computer-savvy folks than I have already spelled all that out...
I "dock" the Air with a 24-inch Apple Cinema Display, and it all seems to work together wonderfully. No complaints there. I did notice, however, that when I was trying to view a full-screen HD program that I had downloaded through iTunes, the playback stuttered a lot. The problem went away when I made the picture smaller than full-screen (although it was still plenty large.) There's also no stuttering if I just watch the program on the MBA itself.
Is this just a built-in limitation of the Air? If so, that's fine; it's not a dealbreaker for me since I don't plan to use it primarily for that purpose. But I also wanted to make sure this wasn't a sign of some kind of problem.

Autistic kids dont need a freaking iPad to learn. Especially not ASD patients.
I am one, and I have come along way according to many doctors ive seen.
The main issue is telling kids that they will never get better and not pushing them.
People used to say id never be able to talk, yet i live on my own, go to school, and have a well-paying job.
Now can people stop the crap, and give these kids the treatment they really need?
-gosh.
/end rant

The methods mentioned are regarding DVDs, as you said. How can I apply it on a USB stick? What I need to do is a disc image and then have it on my USB stick?
Just select USB stick as the target, it shouldn't need more than that.

Migration Assistant worked fine for me. If you connect computers with an ethernet cable the transfer time is shorter.

"setting for certain epson paper" could be manually added.
It's called printer calibration or downloading the paper / printer profile.
Printer profile is usually available only for high end printers, not cheap home printers.
