DFU mode should still work, but it isn't the easiest thing to get into. There are some youtube videos on it that help a lot.
Again pretty far from being bricked.

Thanks for looking kgarner.
I saved the images out in Photoshop to the resolution that the xml file sets the images at, so there shouldn't (in theory) be a problem there.
I got my mom to look at them from her PC w/IE at work, and she said they were distorted there.

Lastpass by far is my favorite. I have tried many others and Lastpass definately fulfills my needs. I can get all my passwords on my Macbook, iMac and Mac Pro at work. Also on my iPhone. It works on many different browsers and is just amazing.

I had this ages ago back in the 2.x days. Pretty sure an iTunes reinstall fixed it for me.
Uninstall/reinstall did not fix it for me, nor did a repair from Control Panel.

I want to spend like $100-$200, Preferable 256MB+ RAM, 10GB+ HD, 750MHz+, and a DVD drive is prefered, but not necessary, I'll need at least a Working CD-Rom drive. No OS is necessary, but if you have Windows 200 Pro, I might be interested. Let me know, IBMs, Dells, etc would be fine, and the screen size dosent matter as long as it works.
Battery life isnt an issue, as long as it can hold like 30+ mins
make me offers, Mayeb we can make a deal, thanks :-D

So today I was messing around and trying some new themes, and after doing one I ran into a big problem. I reset my computer and I cannot see any desktop icons or my menu bar. I cannot open the finder and anytime I click an application, it will open briefly, my desktop icons will open briefly, and then the application will quit unexpectedly, and the icons will disappear once again.
Is there any way I can reset the theme back to the Mac default? Keep in mind I cannot open any applications including Terminal as far as I know. Thanks in advance.

If you don't like it, don't buy it.
Simple.
Agreed. If it doesn't meet your needs OP then look at another tablet.

Hi everyone,
I am using my old iBook G4, running on Mac OS X 10.4.11 with it's original battery in. It apparently has a full capacity of 52% and has a charge cycle of 277. It lost two percent it, like, 5 minutes and it runs really well, but is the battery one to give up on, keep using with adapter plugged in all the time or just stop the old Book once and for all?
PS. Runs very well but can be a bit slow at times. Is the 1.2 GHz with 256mb built in RAM. No upgrades, but I am using the charger from a iBook G3,and that is 50 watts.
Status on battery:

Great points. Sorry, should've mentioned that yes, I'll have cable set top boxes in all rooms too. Good tip on the Apple TV for the other rooms, don't know why I didn't think of that. Will be much less expensive!

So, is that for sale to educational institutions, or something?
Probably the basic education discount for anyone in education at any level except HE.

I accidentally deleted a whole bunch of files while phone was running and still managed to get it to be recognized by iTunes after 1/2 hour of fooling with home and power button + USB plug. Don't give up.

i am looking into getting the new itouch 4th gen ( hopefully sooner than later) and i have seen firsthand how easy they scratch and dent. i know of a few good brands of cases but have no experiance with them. also i have a good logitech speaker system and audio systems, however that is all i got. anyone know of any good accessories for a senior in high school?
There will most likely be a new design... hopefully not scratch-prone.
Anyways, you should probably get a nicer pair of headphones... unless you can stand the apple ones. I recommend the Skullcandy Ink'd; good sound quality, low price, and a lifetime warranty. For a case I would recommend something from Switcheasy although im not sure what they will have. Possibly a 3.5mm headphone jack splitter if you often share music. A dock cover to prevent dust from entering. A screen protector... which will be included if you buy from Switcheasy. And then a case for you to put your Touch in. Like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Waterproof-Washable-Digital-Camera-Case-Pouch-Bag-RED-/220584740976?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item335be00870 Or something of the sort. I would recommend water proof just in case.
I can provide links if needed.

Several apps should be able to do that. That is for DVDs but should be the same for USB stick.
