Hi everyone
I wanted to install windows on my mac to be able to play windows based games, but it turned out to be the biggest mistake iwe made in a while. At first the setup installed as supposed, but then it rebooted and took me to the setup again. I tried to install again, it installed, rebooted and took me back to the blue XP setup screen again. Same thing happens when i try to quit the setup, repair the installation and everything else. My mac is now stuck, i cant even get the Windows installer CD out. At this point i just want to exit the windows installer and get my OS back, i dont want to continue installing, can someone help me please? Im getting rather desperate.

An Invisible Shield for an iPod touch 1G can still be found. I've used one since December 2007. It was a little difficult to get on right, but after doing so it has worked wonderfully at preventing any scratches to the back.

Something to consider is the Elite coming out soon. It is just like the pro, only the console and accessories are all black and it comes with a 120 GB HDD.
If you plan on downloading videos, arcade games, and demos (I highly recommend doing so), you will fill up the 20GB HDD on the Pro fairly quickly. It's manageable, but also a bit annoying. And forget about downloading demos onto memory cards, that's just not possible. Also, if you plan on playing any original Xbox games (check www.xbox.com to see if compatible first) those will require a hard drive. The Hard Drive isn't necessarily required, however you will need some sort of memory device to have game saves, and the three options are: $100 20GB HDD (comes with Pro), $180 120GB HDD (comes with Elite), or $50 512MB memory card.
My recommendation would be to wait for the Elite system if you're willing to spend the extra cash, otherwise buy the Pro. The core is really not a good option, due to lack of HD cables, wireless controllers, and the fact that you would have to spend another $50 to save any games.
As for games: Gears of War, Lost Planet, Rainbow Six Vegas, Guitar Hero 2, Oblivion, Crackdown, and Saint's Row are all great games that I would recommend, as well as Geometry Wars and Worms in the arcade.

And am I wrong in thinking that if I download the standalone Flash installer, it runs system-wide? Does that mean when I'm using Safari (but not on pages that have Flash content), it still drains more battery? What about if I'm not even using Safariis it then somehow still taking up extra CPU cycles?
I believe the Flash Installer just installs it to the specific browser you choose, you cant update the Flash in Chrome unless Google releases it.

My IPhone is a Verizon 4g and it fits perfectly.
The vibrate switch is definitely not perfectly cut out!
I don't particularly like clear-back cases as they get scratched really easily which makes them look bad!

I think you would benefit from a 15 inch a lot. Just because of the quad core processor, video editing uses can use a lot of power :) I might be mistaken but i thought that that video editing programs like Premiere use OpenGL?? if yes hen you would benefit from the discrete GPU in the 15 inch aswell

the one that was released in September/october 05 or january 05?
does it take PC2700 ram? that is the best question, will you do a direct trade for it?
The September and January 12"ers use the same RAM :D . PC2700 is the one. I can get a gig of RAM for $92. An iPod 20 gig is about $200 roughly new. So, I defiently won't do a direct trade. Are you willing to pay some cash? PM with your offer.

I'm looking at picking up a Mac Mini as a HTPC and dropping cable, but then I realized my 42" plasma only supports 1024x768 resolution.
I'm guessing this won't exactly be optimal, so I'm weighing whether to get a better tv. I don't really want to have to spend the extra money on a new set, so I'm hoping I could get some opinions as to how dismal the experience will be with my current set up.
Thanks!

Hi, I have my Apple mouse that came with my G5 iMac (bought in Aug/Sept. 05') and have no need for it. I used it about a week until my wireless mouse arrived and now I wish to sell it. It's in great shape and very white ;)
$20 B.O. shipped to the Continental US or Local pickups welcome.
I take PayPal and have feedback on MR Marketplace with others (just look my name up if you wish), also feedback on heatware.com under artfuldodger.
Send me a pm, post here or email...I prefer pm over email.
All I ask is please leave feedback as it helps each of us out :)

Picked up Other M ($24), Donkey Kong Returns ($44 - no real discount), Kirby Epic Yarn ($40 - no real discount) and Fall Out Vegas ($34, 360).
Also, bought a Kinect (no discount), but will probably return it since I apparently don't have enough space in my room to use it. Amazon has all the Kinect games for $10 off.
Amazon had the God of War Collection for $10 and Ratchet and Clank 2 for $10, but I didn't bite. Wal-Mart has Little Big Planet for $20 (Ship to Store).

That is false information (as 300D would say ;) :p :D)
2TB is limit of APM, not PPC. AFAIK SATA controller doesn't have a drive size limit.
Over 2TB you need to use GPT. Any OS X up from 10.4.6 is able to partition, mount, read and write GUID. No matter if it's on PPC or Intel Mac. PPC won't only boot off GPT partition.
OP, you should be able to use 3TB HDD in G5 for all but booting purposes (i.e. storage, backup, scratch etc) in OS X 10.4.6 + or 10.5.
oh... FIXED!

Not that I'm aware of.
I have a data SIM from 3 (UK) in my iPad, that has a hefty allowance and I don't use anywhere near that allowance.
So I was wondering if I could use it to tether to my laptop to connect to wirelessly when I go to jobs, which would mean I could ditch my mobile BB dongle.
Technically there are two question here, does the iPad support this feature, or can it be enabled, (yes) may require you to jailbreak your iPad to install MyWi, and 2) does your carrier permit or allow this feature. My understanding is that some carriers enable this option within the iOS features, others do not enable it. Depending on the version of iOS running on your iPad there were some websites that would enable it with a change of your provisioning setting. If you were on 4.x I believe... I know that MyWi worked for me last year...
So to answer your question yes it can be done, and I personally don't know what the reaction of your carrier would be, when I ran it on iOS 3.x my carrier didn't seem to be aware of me running it... I had an unlimited data plan and did not use vast amounts of data....

ebay, Kijiji, Craigslist, etc.
Research some older-model printers with that connector and just plug in the names as your search terms.
